Talented girl artist-fades so early

This 98th hub of mine is being presented to my friends Mr.Sachidananda and his wife Mrs. Malathi,Who have lost their loving and talented daughter Aparna, nine and a half years ago. I got acquaitnted with this family very recently, and at the very first visit itself, I got struck by the bereavement they are experiencing by the loss of their dear daughter who was a girl studying in 11th standard but who had already carved her name as a promising painter artist having exhibited her paintings in local art exhibitions.

That was K.APARNA!

Aparna, a soft faced, smooth talking girl was born on June 3rd 1982,in South canara district,in coastal karnataka.Her parents are well educated and highly cultured. Mr. Sachidananda, an engineer in Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers Factory,near Suratkal,Mangalore .Mrs.Malathi,a graduate in science takes all care of home and encourages her children in their persuit of knowledge and talents.This couple had two children-Aparna and Akash. Both are talented, fun loving and studious.But now, alas,only Akash has remained!

Aparna, who had heart ailment since her childhood,was interested in music. But as her heart problem didn't allow her to practice music, she divreted her mind towords painting and showed greater interest in oil painting. Mr. Lakshmi narayan, an artist living in the local area-Hosabettu, near Suratkal,offered his coaching to this little girl.who was running her 10th year of age then. She sincerely attended classes at his home and continued it till some weeks prior to the day when death laid its icy hands on this blossoming bud.

Aparna was a science student in school. After her 10th standard( which is the school final class in many parts of india,) she chose science for her special studies. Her youger brother Akash ,who was younger to her by four years, was also well at studies and both were like two eyes of the couple. Now only one has remained. Aparna breathed her last on june 24th, 2001.

Aparna's paintings were exhibited in art shows in the local towns and schools. They were appreciated by visiters and print media.At such younger age, she could create effective symbols and use suitable paints befitting the theme.Her brother Akash is also talented at painting and he has published these paintings in his own blog at www.akashpaintings/blogspot.com .

Herewith I am publishing some of the paintings by Our beloved Aparna, whom I had never seen, as a tribute to a talent who would have definitely reached greater heights, had only time permitted her. Along with paintings, i am publishing her photoes also, with the kind permission of her parents.

This is one more example of talents spread among simple living folk in India.
