How my earning improved at Hubpages?

i joined hub pages 4 years ago-quite incidentally, after getting internet connection, during casual browsing, i came across this site. As i am an author and poet,i got interest in this forum for expression and sharing knowledge, and registered.

The first article i published on this was-Teacher Education in Karnataka'- a serious but important subject for discussion then.It was not a popular topic.It was an academic one.Hence , it got readers very slowly.It is even now getting responses,even after four years.But how many clicks on ads there I got ,is doubtful.

On the other hand, my hub on the marriage of Sania Mirza, attracted crowds.it is viewd by 42,000 readers so far.

For about 3 years, i did not knew that my hubs should be submitted to search Engines. I came to know it only after 3 years, from my fellow hubber.Only later, I started submissions to S.Es.

i got my first cheque after 3 years.i got my next cheque(second one) in next six months. i got my third one in next 4 months. I expect my next cheque shortly.

My suggestions to new hubbers to get better ranking and earnings, are the following:

1 Don't be crazy of publicity.just write well

This is the policy i have maintained at large. Even though i have written some hubs to drag crowds, their number is less. I have maintained to write mainly to educate the readers.i have never asked anybody to become my fan.Noe i have become the fan of one who writes for gimmicks.

2 Write on good and useful topics,after careful thinking.

Choose such topics which are new , or on which less hubs are published. For Eg,i have written on Aung San Sue Kyi.That might not have dragged crowds. But it is informative,introducing a great fighter of our times.Similarly my hubs on different places, religion, etc.That means, let your hubs be - STUFF ORIENTED.

3 Don't publish suddenly

Do not publish your hub suddenly. Register it, start it, go on typing it part by part and save it unpublished.Then publish it.But do not keep it incomplete for many days. that is against the wishes of the Hub pages.After starting, publish it in about a week. this has two fold benefits-1) You will get time to gather material and better ideas in presenting.2) that gets better ranking to the hub.

4 Share it

This is a provision Hub pages have provided since about a year.At the bottom of your hub some options are there. 'Share it ' is one of them. You use it. Share your hub with the visitors to some other sites. A list of about 15 such sites is given there. Share your hub on 2 or 3 sites only. Do not submit same hub to many sites. That is bad.i am sharing my hubs with twitter and Facebook only, since past 4 months.

5 Submit to Rss feed

After publication of your hub, do not forget to submit it to RSS feed. You can do this by submitting its tags to website www. Feed validator.org.You have to submit the important tags( about 40--50 per article) of your article to this website.It helps to list your hub in search engines.That attracts traffic.That gives us chance to get more clicks.Thus it helps to improve our earnings.Similarly, you can submit your RSS to another hub also. But do not submit them to more than two hubs.

Take care that you do not submit more than 3 hubs' tags per day.If that is done, technical problem may arise in listing them.

6 Submitting to search engines

You must be regularly submitting your hub URLs to search engines.Such submissions must be renewed once in every 60 days. Select just 3-4 search engines and go on submitting hubs.Some such search engines are-

1.http://www.google.com/addurl

2.www.Bing.com/docs/submit.

3 http:// siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit

4 www.guruji.com(hubs related to India in some way or the other only)Here one submitted need not be renewed again.

You must keep a format table showing the date of your submission to each search engine.That helps to renew after 60 days.

Do not submit more than 5 hubs to a search engine, per day. Also, don't submit all hubs to all SEs. Submit a hub to a maximum of 3 SEs.

7 Use keywords

When you get the idea of writing on a topic, and make notes,go to keywords web and search for suitable key words related to that topic. For that, go to-Google web and from there,go to keywords tool.There you will get the list of key of keywords,subject wise sorted. Click to your subject and select the related words.

While selecting the keywords, keep in mind the demand for that word and how much amount it gets us per click.But do not put only high paying key words. let 3-4 high paying key words and same number of moderately paying keywords be there.

8 Follow the rules

In any case, don't forget to follow the rules laid down by Hub pages and Google.Google is avery sensitive system that can identify any deviation made by you.

Finally, don't be in a hurry to make money. keep a regular time table to work at Hubpages and, care for the quality. Let money be of secondary importance.YOU will win.
