Till recently, indians visiting western world used to face a question-'Is India the land of snake charmers,magicians,poors,etc?' But now the awareness is developing.World is realising that India is also the land of great philosophers, sculptures, amazing temples and kings and queens.

This hub is about the wonderful palaces in this vast country.

Perhaps no other country in the world has so many palaces as India has. Some of the palaces shown herecan provide good testimoney for this statement.

In some cases it is true. But not in all cases. A palace was just a residence. It was a big office, cabinet meeting place, a place to visit foreign dignitaries, etc. And, a royal also needs security,temple for their poojas, a kalyana mantap as they cannot hold marriages in a common choultry for security reasons,etc,etc.
